Rosanna Bruno Biography

Rosanna Bruno makes paintings, comics and ceramics. Her work has been exhibited in various galleries and featured in publications such as: Bomb, The Paris Review, The Daily Beast, Modern Painters and The New York Times, among others. She received a New York Foundation for the Arts Grant in painting in 2012. She is the recipient of fellowships from Yaddo, The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, and LMCC. Bruno has published two graphic novels. Her most recent—a collaboration with the poet Anne Carson entitled The Trojan Women, was published by New Directions and was a New York Times best graphic novel of 2021. She lives and works in Queens, NY.
